Where do you attend school and what activities are you involved in?

I am a student at the University of Vrignia studying neuroscience. I've been involved in several activities while there and at TJ:

  • Hope over Harm (we work to obtain and distribute NARCAN throughout the campus)
  • Research into the efficacy of LLMs to replace current solution for fluid resuscitation guidance
  • Lab assistant at Medstar burn lab with multiple research projects and brain network mapping to asses surgical effectiveness
  • Volunteer and MedStar ER

What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

I led an organization called LearnLink Tutoring that offered free tutoring solutions to many students across the NoVa area and beyond.

What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?

I attended TJHSST where I got a 1580 on my SAT. I've also completed math up to Calc 2, earning straight A's. I've also taken many CS classes that require Python, and some of my research requires Python.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I really love the moment you realize your student truly understands a concept, like an a-ha moment. Moments like those help students gain new interests and passions, so I love that I can be part of their journey in discovering their academic passion.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

I love playing basketball, going to the gym, and listening to music.
