I am a student at Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering. I have been on the Dean's List for the past several semesters and am a certified clinical medical assistant.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?I work as an undergraduate teaching assistant at VCU's Electrical Department, and I am also a tutor at a Tutoring Club in the Richmond area.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?I have taken multiple high-levelmath courses including Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Calculus I-II.
What excites you about teaching and working with students?I genuinely love learning and want to share that passion with others. As a former Fairfax Collegiate student, I know firsthand how impactful these classes are. While there were times I would've rather been doing something else during summer break, a few standout instructors made learning fun and engaging, and those experiences stuck with me. Now, I want to be that kind of teacher for someone else.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?Outside of work and school, I make time for regular exercise, whether that's hitting the gym or going for walks when the weather is nice. I also love cooking and experimenting with new recipes. From time to time, I enjoy designing and making stickers.
